One True Vine Launches Cherry Pie Pinot Noir

February 3, 2014 – Napa, CA—One True Vine, makers of Cherry Pie single vineyard Pinot Noir today announced the introduction of a new wine called Cherry Tart. The inaugural vintage, the 2012 Cherry Tart, is a blend of Pinot Noir from three prized single vineyards in top California growing regions: 49% of the fruit is sourced from Rogers Creek Vineyard in the Sonoma Coast; 43% of the fruit is from Alta Loma Vineyard in Monterey County; and, 8% of the fruit is from Santa Barbara County’s Los Alamos Vineyard. With this new offering, winemaker Jayson Woodbridge and his team have employed the same “micro-fermentation” technique they use in crafting Cherry Pie. To capture the unique characteristics of these three distinct vineyard sources, Woodbridge micro-fermented small, individual lots in puncheon barrels, yielding a thoroughly handcrafted, yet affordable Pinot Noir.

“As a category, domestic Pinot Noirs priced from $15-$25 has experienced tremendous growth in the past year,” notes David Biggar, President of Vintage Point, the luxury wine sales and marketing firm representing Cherry Tart. “Cherry Tart is well positioned to capitalize on this growth trend and enters the market with a competitive edge thanks to the success of Cherry Pie.”

Cherry Tart’s mouthwatering label art was designed by artist T.R. Colletta. Colletta was commissioned to create a piece with a similar look and feel to the painting of his that was the inspiration for Cherry Pie’s name and eye-catching label.

Cherry Tart will be available nationally in early March. The wine will retail for $25.
